(One-stop Online Service) Electronic visa issuance and stay permission via official websites(Visa Portal, Hi Korea, processed within 2 weeks) 4. (Immigration Support at Airports and Seaports) Issuance of Immigration Priority Card. 5. (Settlement Support) Settlement support including taxation, education, and housing in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and ICT.

In addition, we will create a favorable environment to help outstanding global talent settle in Korea by linking our initiatives with the Ministry of Science and ICT’s “Lifecycle Settlement Support Program for Overseas Researchers,” which provides comprehensive support covering tax incentives, living expenses, and psychological counseling. <Lifecycle Settlement Support Services by Ministry of Science and ICT> 1. (Taxation) 50% reduction in earned income tax for maximum 10 years. 2. (Living) Issuance of registration certificates, on-site accompaniment and interpretation for telecommunications, real estate, hospitals, etc. 3. (Settlement) Provision of psychological counseling service and assistance in real estate contracts. 4. (Research) Creating an environment for research immersion through full-cycle life management.

🌍Attracting World-Class Scientists

Effective June 1, the Top-Tier Visa Program has been expanded to science and technology fields.

🏆Persons meeting at least one of the following criteria, as well as researchers with significant potential after qualitative evaluation by the ”Top-Tier Talent Recommendation Review Committee,“ can be issued with a Top-Tier Visa.

✅The program provides immediate Resident (F-2) visas for Top-Tier researchers, spouses and minor children, one-stop online services, immigration support at airports and seaports, and settlement support.

The Ministry will make endeavors to ensure global top talents choose the Republic of Korea, in coordination with the relevant agencies and ministries.
